Coverage

  • Car Damage
    In the event of ordinary losses/damages to your car, regardless of who is at fault and where the accident took place, a wide variety of cases, from broken windows to theft or destruction is covered.
  • Personal Accident Cover
    A compulsory Personal Accident cover of Rs. 1 lakh is available for individual owners of the car while driving (Available only if the owner of the car holds a valid driving license). You can also opt for a Personal Accident cover for passengers (Named or un-named) up to a maximum amount of Rs. 2 lakhs per person.
  • Third Party Liability
    Any legal liability that you may incur due to the death of or bodily injury to a third party or damage to the property of a third party while using your car, is covered. The policy also covers the legal expenses you might incur to defend this claim. This is a mandatory insurance coverage for your car.
  • Additional Legal Liabilities
    The following additional legal liabilities may also be opted for at an additional premium -

Plan Overview

Health Total is a Comprehensive Retail Health Product with wider and long term coverage.

There are 3 different plans: Vital, Superior and Premiere. All plans are available with individual and floater option and with Lifelong renewal facility.

Family definition:

Vital Plan - Self, spouse, dependent children (unmarried and up to the age of 25 years) and dependent parents.

Superior Plan & Premiere Plan - Self, spouse, dependent (unmarried and up to the age of 25 years) or non – dependent children, dependent or non – dependent parents, dependent siblings, daughter in law, son in law, parents in law, grandparents and grandchildren (maximum up to 15 members).

Other Features

  • Family discount of 10% is available in case more than one person is covered in the same policy in case of Individual Sum Insured option.
  • Premium applicable for the primary insured will be the standard individual premiums. For remaining dependant members, floater discounts will be applicable on their respective premium as per their age.
  • Discount of 10% to 25% on premium as per the voluntary deductible and plan opted.
  • Long-term discount upto 10% applicable in case of upfront premium payment for long term policy.

  • In case of policies which are on long term basis, facility of instalment payment is available monthly, quarterly and half yearly. Loadings maximum of 5% will be applicable on standard premiums as per the instalment frequency opted.

  • Premium paid by any mode other than cash or DD is eligible for tax relief as provided under Section 80-D of the Income Tax Act.
  • In case an insured enters the policy at age of 60 years and above , copayments will be applicable on each and every admissible claim

What’s covered?

  • Hospitalization Medical Expenses, Day Care Treatment expenses, Pre-hospitalization Medical Expenses, Post-hospitalization Medical Expenses, Organ Donor Expenses, Domiciliary Hospitalisation Expenses.
  • If the Sum Insured and Cumulative Bonus (if any) is exhausted due to claims payable, Restore Sum Insured (equal to 100% of the Sum Insured) will be automatically available for the particular Policy Year subject to T & C.

What’s not covered?

  • External Congenital Anomaly and related Illness/ defect.
  • Expenses incurred towards treatment of Illness or Injury arising out of alcohol use/misuse or abuse of alcohol, narcotic substance or drugs (whether prescribed or not).

What’s covered?

  • Disability or Death Due to Accident: Permanent Total Disability, Permanent Partial Disability, Temporary Total Disability & Death arising due to Accident.
  • Repatriation Benefit: An inbuilt cover for Repatriation Benefit and Funeral Expenses-An amount up to a maximum of 1 % of the Accidental Death Sum Insured would be reimbursed for the repatriation of the insured person’s remains subject to maximum of Rs. 12,500. No additional premium to be paid for this cover
  • Terrorism: Terrorism is covered.
  • Hospital Cash Allowance: You may apply for per day hospital cash (subject to limits as specified in the policy schedule), in the event of an accidental bodily injury and subsequent hospitalisation.
  • Loan Protector: In the event of accidental death or permanent total disablement, lump sum amount as specified in the policy schedule shall be paid
  • Adaptation Allowance: In case of a Permanent Total disablement arising out of an accident an amount upto 10% of the principal sum insured subject to maximum of Rs. 50,000 will be reimbursed to you towards the cost of modifying your house or vehicle
  • Family Transportation Allowance: When as a result of an accident resulting in either accidental death or permanent total disablement or permanent partial disablement, the insured person is confined in a hospital outside 100 kms of his residence, we will reimburse the actual transportation expenses incurred by the immediate family member on recommendation of a medical practitioner, to reach the insured person limited upto 10% of the Principal Sum Insured subject to maximum Rs. 50,000
  • Additional covers on paying an extra premium: The following are not included: Child Education Support, Life Support Benefit, Accidental Medical expenses, Accidental Hospitalisation.

  • Prior to the Inception of the Policy
    Any existing disablement prior to the inception of the policy.
  • Suicide
    Suicide or attempted suicide is not covered.
  • Military or Armed Forces
    Serving in military, armed forces.
  • Influence of Intoxicants
    Under the influence of drugs, alcohol & other intoxicants.
  • Event of Riots or War
    Participation in felony, riots, war etc.
  • Exposure to Radioactive Materials
    Exposure to nuclear, radioactive materials.
  • Loses Due to Pregnancy
    Loss due to child birth or pregnancy.
  • Special Exclusions
    Pre and Post Hospitalisation expenses and alternative treatments are not covered under accidental hospitalisation cover.

What’s covered?

  • Lump Sum Benefit
    In the event of diagnosis or procedures for any of the critical illnesses mentioned below, the Criti Care policy will pay a lump sum benefit. This is subject to waiting period of 90 days from the date of policy commencement and the insured's survival for a period of 28 days from the date of diagnosis or procedure.
  • Diagnosis of:
    • Cancer (cancer of specified severity)
    • Kidney failure requiring regular dialysis
    • Primary pulmonary arterial hypertension
    • Liver failure
    • Multiple sclerosis with persisting symptoms
  • Surgical procedure of:
    • Major organ/bone marrow transplant
    • Open chest CABG (coronary artery bypass graft)
    • Aorta graft surgery
  • First time occurrences such as:
    • Stroke leading in permanent symptoms
    • First heart attack (myocardial infarction) of specified severity
    • Coma of specified severity
    • Total blindness

What’s not covered?

  • Before the Inception of Policy
    If the diagnosis, medical treatment, signs or symptoms happens before the inception of policy, then you will not get cover, unless such a condition is there in the proposal form that’s been endorsed.
  • Certain Procedures / Treatments Not Covered
    A medical procedure or treatment, not medically necessary or not performed by a Doctor and birth defects and external or internal congenital Illnesses that need treatment are not covered.
  • Prior Occurrence or Within 90 Days of Policy
    In case a critical illness has occurred prior to the period of insurance or within the first 90 days of the commencement of the insurance, the Company is not liable to make payment.
  • Out of Country Diagnosis
    If illness is diagnosed out of country, the cover is available only if it is reaffirmed by Physician in India and Claim documents are provided in English.

  • ICU Benefit Within the City of Residence You will get twice of the per day benefit if you or your family member is hospitalised in an ICU within the city of your residence.
  • ICU Benefit Outside Your City of Residence You will get thrice of the per day benefit if you or your family member is hospitalised in an ICU outside the city of residence.
  • An Additional Convalescence Benefit An additional convalescence benefit of Rs 5000 for hospitalisation of more than 10 days is also payable to you or your family member, once per hospitalisation event.
  • ICU Benefit ICU benefit is available for maximum period of 10 days for each hospitalisation and maximum 20 days during the policy period.

  • Hospitalisation for General Debility Hospitalisation for general debility, ‘Run-down’ condition or rest cure, sexually transmitted disease, intentional self-injury.
  • Hospitalisation for Fertility Related Treatments Hospitalisation for Pregnancy and fertility related treatments.
